Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease in which endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. This condition affects 10–20% of women of reproductive age. Protection against neural tube defects
Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folic acid balance. Increasing maternal folic acid balance helps reduce the risk of neural tube defects in the fetus. To achieve a positive result, a minimum of 400 mcg of folic acid should be taken additionally, at least one month before and up to three months after conception ¹.
