What is Fertilovit M plus and how does it affect the body?
Fertilovit M Plus is a biologically active supplement for special medical purposes, used to solve male infertility problems associated with poor sperm quality.
According to numerous studies, male fertility is declining worldwide. One in ten couples have difficulty conceiving, and in 30% of cases, this is due to a male fertility problem. Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) offer various options for treating people with reproductive disorders. Clomiphene, insemination, IVF or ICSI help the egg and sperm fuse. However, sperm with a high degree of oxidative damage significantly reduces the effectiveness of any infertility treatment.
Fertilovit M Plus is a biologically active supplement for special medical purposes, used to solve male infertility problems associated with poor sperm quality.
A decrease in sperm count and deterioration in sperm quality can be caused by various factors, such as environmental pollution, poor nutrition, etc. Today, more and more research is being conducted to study oxidative stress and its detrimental effects on sperm quality.
The causes of oxidative stress in our body are factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, environmental pollution, pesticides and other chemicals, stress and/or trauma. Oxidative stress (oxidative stress) is the process of damage to cells and tissues of the body by reactive oxygen species [ROS]. Oocytes and sperm are particularly susceptible to such damage. Usually, the human body has its own protective mechanisms, i.e. its own antioxidants, however, their quantity is not always sufficient.
A healthy lifestyle and balanced diet have a beneficial effect on reproductive function.
First, the good news: since sperm are constantly being regenerated, a healthy man can always change his sperm count and influence their motility by making healthy lifestyle choices. A well-balanced diet rich in antioxidants and other micronutrients that promote cell division and spermatogenesis plays a big role. This is an effective way to maintain reproductive health. However, if you find it difficult to stick to a healthy diet and maintain a regimen in your daily life, you can simply take vitamin supplements.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants are vital substances that protect DNA, proteins and lipids of all cells in the body (including sperm) from oxidative stress. Well-known antioxidants are vitamins C and E, as well as lycopene and carotenoids from tomatoes. Vitamin C is the main antioxidant in seminal plasma, but it is rapidly excreted from the body. Therefore, vitamin C, as a rule, cannot provide long-term positive effects. In order to maximize the protective capabilities of this antioxidant, slow-release vitamin C is included in Fertilovit® Mplus. Vitamin E, a fat-soluble antioxidant, is important, in particular, for ensuring the protection of cell membranes.
The importance of selenium and zinc for normal fertility
It is well known that trace elements such as selenium and zinc are essential for male fertility.
Zinc is an essential trace element that is involved in many processes in the body. It supports the normal function of the immune system, growth and protein synthesis, and is also important for normal cell division and DNA synthesis. In addition, it is needed for normal male fertility and reproduction to maintain the necessary level of testosterone. Selenium is also an essential trace element. It is involved in many metabolic processes. Selenium belongs to the group of so-called selenoproteins and acts as a defense enzyme that protects cells from reactive oxygen species. Other selenoproteins are involved in the metabolism of thyroid hormones, which is extremely important for reproduction and fertility. Therefore, it is not surprising that the largest amount of selenium (excluding the brain) is contained in the thyroid gland. In addition to the above, selenium is necessary for spermatogenesis.
Amino acids
Sperm formation requires a large supply of various trace elements. Among others, some amino acids play a vital role. Arginine, for example, is needed to form protamines, which help cells to cluster and thus stabilize sperm DNA. Arginine, however, has a very low bioavailability. However, studies have shown that the use of its precursor, the amino acid L-citrulline, can significantly increase the level of arginine in the body.
An additional effect of these amino acids is that they contribute to male erection by forming the mediator nitric oxide (NO). Based on this data, an innovative generation of biologically active supplements for men was developed: Fertilovit® Mplus.
This drug has been tested in leading reproductive medicine clinics in Europe. Men who want a child are recommended to start taking it at least three months before the planned conception.

Fertilovit® Mplus is lactose and gelatin free. It is the world’s first dietary supplement for men with poor sperm quality that contains a slow-release antioxidant.
Scientifically proven effect of the drug’s components:
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
Vitamin C is the main antioxidant in the seminal plasma of fertile men. Here its concentration is ten times higher than in blood plasma. Vitamin C protects sperm from aggressive ROS (reactive oxygen species) and can increase the quantity and quality of sperm. However, vitamin C is quickly excreted from the body. Therefore, Fertilovit® Mplus contains vitamin C, which is released gradually in small quantities, thereby ensuring a long-lasting effect.
Zinc
Zinc is an important component of sperm. If the body lacks zinc, sperm production decreases dramatically and sperm motility decreases. Studies have shown that taking zinc supplements can improve sperm quality. Zinc is also needed to maintain healthy testosterone levels.
Vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol acetate)
Vitamin E is localized in the cell membrane. It is an antioxidant and protects the membrane from oxidative stress. According to the results of various scientific studies, in men who took vitamin E, sperm were more stable, more mobile and, in general, healthier.
Folic acid
Folic acid protects the sensitive DNA found in the head of the sperm. It is known that men with excess folic acid have fewer sperm, which causes genetic disorders during fertilization. Folic acid has also been shown to reduce homocysteine levels. This promotes sperm development.
Selenium
Selenium is a highly effective antioxidant that protects sperm DNA. In addition, studies have shown that selenium increases sperm motility.
Lycopene
Lycopene is a carotenoid with strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a positive effect on latent inflammation of the genitourinary tract by reducing oxidative stress. Lycopene supplementation increases sperm count and motility.
L-carnitine
According to several studies, L-carnitine significantly improves sperm motility.
Glutathione (reduced) / N-acetyl-L-cysteine
Glutathione is the most important antioxidant in the human body. It protects cells from oxidative stress. As shown by numerous studies, its use helps to increase sperm motility and reduce oxidative stress, which damages sperm.
However, glutathione is poorly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, so to restore normal glutathione levels, its precursor N-acetyl-L-cysteine is prescribed. Fertilovit® Mplus contains N-acetyl-L-cysteine, which significantly increases intracellular glutathione levels.
Coenzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is primarily needed by the human body for energy production. However, it also has strong antioxidant properties and can significantly reduce the formation of reactive oxygen species in seminal plasma. It is known that after infertile men took coenzyme Q10, the number of pregnancies increased significantly.
Citrulline
Citrulline is a precursor to the second amino acid, arginine. It is needed for normal sperm development, as the body uses it to create spermine and spermidine, which are present in high concentrations in seminal fluid. Spermine stabilizes sperm DNA, while spermidine plays an important role in restoring cell structure. Spermidine levels are known to decrease with age. The precursor to arginine, citrulline, significantly increases arginine levels in the body for a long period of time. A pleasant side effect of increased arginine levels is that it can also contribute to male erections by producing the mediator NO (nitric oxide).
