Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)<\/strong> is an essential long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid that enhances the effectiveness of the body’s antioxidant systems, normalizes the processes of lipid transport in the blood, repair of cell membranes, and activation of immunocompetent cells. EPA contributes to the normalization of the condition in hyperlipidemia, arterial hypertension, and a tendency to thrombosis. EPA ensures the normal course of pregnancy and reduces the risk of pregnancy complications.<\/p>\n

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)<\/strong> is an essential long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid that is
\nthe most important component of all cell membranes in the body and is part of the functionally important structural lipids of the brain and retina. During the rapid development of the brain and tissues of the fetus, it is necessary to ensure the intake of an optimal amount of DHA to ensure the positive development of the child, namely – cognitive development, motor skills and vision.<\/p>\n

The use of DHA during pregnancy significantly reduces the risk of premature birth.<\/p>\n

Protection<\/strong><\/p>\n

Omega-3 PUFA is an important structural component of the gray matter of the brain and ensures the development of intellectual abilities, visual analyzer, fine motor skills and motor-visual coordination of the child. The intake of sufficient amounts of Omega-3 PUFA in the body of a pregnant and breastfeeding woman is vital for the proper formation and development of the central nervous system of the fetus. The need for Omega-3 PUFA is especially high during fetal development of the fetus and after childbirth, until the biochemical development of the retina and brain is completed. During the first 6 months of life, newborns continue to consume large amounts of DHA with breast milk, which accumulates in brain tissues. Studies show that mothers who consumed Omega-3 PUFA during pregnancy give birth to children with higher mental development.<\/p>\n

The results of clinical studies indicate that the use of Omega-3 PUFAs prevents the occurrence of pathological conditions in pregnant women (habitual miscarriage, premature birth of various genesis, thrombophilic disorders of any genesis, preeclampsia, postpartum depression).<\/p>\n
